Working day adjusted turnover in service industries grew by 4.0 per cent in September 2025 from September 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
Service output or volume, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, grew by 2.9 per cent over the same period.
In August, turnover grew of 1.4 per cent and volume correspondingly rose by 0.5 per cent.
In September 2025, growth in service industries was strongest in information and communication, where working day adjusted turnover went up by 7.9 per cent from September 2024.
At the same time, the 7.0 per cent rise in the volume of the industry was fastest among service industries. Working day adjusted turnover in professional, scientific and technical activities grew by 7.7 per cent and volume by 6.9 per cent from September 2024.
Working day adjusted turnover in administrative and support service activities grew by 3.9 per cent in September, while the volume of the industry went up by 1.5 per cent over the corresponding period.
Working day adjusted turnover in real estate activities grew by 3.2 per cent and volume by 2.1 per cent from September 2024. Turnover adjusted for working days in arts, entertainment and recreation rose by 3.1 per cent in September.
In September 2025, working day adjusted turnover in accommodation and food service activities grew by 2.0 per cent and volume by 0.9 per cent from September 2024.
The working day adjusted turnover of other service activities went up by 2.0 per cent from September 2024. Working day adjusted turnover in transportation and storage rose by 0.4 per cent in September 2025. At the same time, the volume of the industry fell by 1.9 per cent.
Seasonally adjusted turnover in service industries rose by 0.2 per cent in September compared to August this year.
