The electricity production at Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear power plant unit remained suspended from Sunday afternoon due to a turbine malfunction, said the owner of the plant Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) in a press release.
The power generation at the plant halted at 16:28 O´clock due to the malfunction in generator seal oil system.
TVO expected that the power production would be restored about in 24 hours.
The glitch, however, did not impact on nuclear safety in the plant and Olkiluoto 1 (OL1) and Olkiluoto 2 (OL2) units are generating electricity normally.
In early October this year, the OL3 nuclear power plant resumed electricity generation at normal capacity after drop of the production due to a technical glitch.
The power generation at OL3 was also disrupted on June 3 due to a turbine malfunction.
