Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the Russian armed forces are launching "consistent, systematic strikes" on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities in Kiev following a Ukrainian drone attack in Starobelsk in the Luhansk region, reported Xinhua.
According to the statement, Russian forces are targeting enterprises involved in the design, production, programming and deployment of drones used by Ukraine with assistance from NATO specialists. The ministry added that command centers and decision-making facilities would also be targeted.
The ministry warned foreign citizens, including diplomatic personnel and staff of international organizations, to leave Kiev as soon as possible, and advised local residents to avoid military and administrative infrastructure facilities in the Ukrainian capital.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry said 21 people died in a Ukrainian drone attack on a college dormitory in the Luhansk region on Friday. But Kiev denied responsibility, saying its forces strike only military facilities and objects used for military purposes in accordance with international humanitarian law.
