Two people were killed and two others injured on Friday in a courthouse shooting in Türkiye's northwestern Bursa province, reported Xinhua.
Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc issued a statement on social media platform X, confirming that the father of one of the complainants opened fire toward the defendants during the hearing, killing the two.
Tunc also mentioned that two gendarmerie officers were injured in the incident.
Following the attack, the perpetrator was apprehended. Tunc added that ten other suspects, believed to be connected to the incident, were detained.
Kemal Memisoglu, the health minister, said on X that the condition of the two injured gendarmerie personnel is critical, and they are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.
The motive of the attack was not clear. An official investigation into the assault has been launched by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
